We know exercise is needed. When the topic is brought up, immediately most say I don’t have time.  Balancing a career, a business, daily household responsibilities, and everything in between often causes women’s personal needs to take a back seat to other concerns.

I’m here to tell you to put yourself first more than you do.

Let’s address a very popular excuse I mentioned earlier, “I don’t have time.”  I’ll be honest, women “busier” than you work out at least 3 times a week AND most women who say they don’t have time, do!

Its energy you don’t have.  Lack of energy leads to having little or no motivation.  The business women who you admire because they are genuinely happy, and have balance know the benefits of exercising, its important to them, so they get it done.

It has been proven, exercise increases your happiness, energy levels, ability to focus and assists with getting quality rest.

Why avoid it?  Don’t answer that question. Check out these healthy habits business women on the go get it done:

They make appointments with themselves and don’t cancel.

Make the commitment to exercise by making an appointment with yourself. Write it on your calendar. If you’ve never exercised before, start out with 10-15 minutes three times a week, then increase it.

They explore their options!

Speaking of options, you can mix up your routine. Try splitting up your exercise routine. If you take a 30 minute walk after lunch, set aside 10-15 minutes to stretch or train in the evening. This can keep you motivated and prevent you from plateauing.

They chose to do more of the exercise activities they enjoy.

When you are doing things you enjoy, you will stick to it. What do you like to do? Dance? Walk? Run? Swim? Spin? Are you like some women that are unsure?  Try something different like yoga or kick-boxing? It’s a great idea to explore your options; it will keep your exercise fun and interesting.

They strive daily to be their very best.

Once you’ve made up your mind to always do your best and be your best, nothing or no one can stop you.  Set goals that are realistic for you, your schedule, and lifestyle.  Sometimes things may not go as planned but keep going.  Enjoy your journey, live in your moment, and focus on your personal best.

Takeaway: Do more of things that are healthier for you, that you enjoy and that makes you happy. Never stop learning how you can be a better version of you, then be it! Don’t forget to implement what you’ve learned.  In so doing, you will be an inspiration for others.

Now it’s only right I share one of my favorite quotes with you!
